Outreach is a big part of who we are. At GTP Foundation we believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn the game of tennis and enjoy it as a lifelong sport. We also believe that those who have a passion for the game should be able to pursue it to the best of their abilities. Through tennis, we believe we can improve the lives of young people by teaching them valuable life skills, giving them a safe place to play and helping them to pursue educational opportunities through their love of tennis.
Kids helping kids in the community is also an important aspect of GTP Foundation. Our advanced student athletes help teach our outreach programs throughout the year. We believe in teaching kids to give back and when they do, everyone benefits!
In the summer of 2019, GTP Foundation started a program called Serving Up Success to eliminate summer learning loss. Fourteen elementary age students were treated to red and orange ball tennis clinics, healthy snacks and a full math, reading and science curriculum during a full day camp over 6 weeks. The students all showed excellent progress in their math and reading skills as well as their tennis skills! Most importantly they had a great summer! We hope to expand the Serving Up Success program to include more kids and add an afterschool tennis and tutoring component in the next year.
In the Spring and Fall, GTP Foundation offers free beginner clinics for kids from 6-10 years of age. We have clinics on Tuesday evenings at 6pm and Saturdays TBA. Please contact Zach Passman at Zachary.Passman@gmail.com to sign up!
On Saturday nights, GTP Foundation offers tennis and pizza parties to give kids more opportunities to play tennis. Sign up is available week to week depending on court availability! We have an awesome time at these events. For more information please e-mail Leigh Ann at email@example.com
